Princess Beatrice Friend Revealed as Godmother to Royal Daughter Sienna

Gabriela Peacock also named Princess Beatrice as her daughter’s godmother

Princess Beatrice chose a close friend as her daughter’s godmother, Sienna Elizabeth.

Gabriela Peacock, nutritionist and longtime friend of Princess Beatrice, revealed in an interview with Hello! magazine who is the godmother of Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s daughter, Sienna, born on September 1, 2018. 18, 2021.

“We see Bea and Edo all the time, which is super nice,” Gabriela told the outlet about her move to the Cotswolds, where Princess Beatrice and her husband have a house. “It’s easier to leave London when some of your best friends move in with you. I’m looking forward to it because, in addition to everything else, it’s really important to relax, to be happy and satisfied with what you’re doing.”

Princess Beatrice was already godmother to Peacock’s 6-year-old daughter Iris. Peacock, who is also mom to her 12-year-old daughter Maia and Iris’ twin brother Caspar, had previously shared a “godmothers of bonding time” photo with Iris and Beatrice on her Instagram page.

In the UK, children traditionally have several godmothers and godparents. “Each child must have at least three godparents, two of the same gender and at least one of the opposite gender to their child. Although there is no official maximum number of godparents, three or four are usual,” according to the Church of England.

Princess Beatrice’s cousin, Prince William, and his wife Kate Middleton choose many godparents for each of their children: Prince George has seven godparents (including William’s cousin, Zara), Princess Charlotte has five godparents and Prince Louis has six godparents.

While some members of the royal family have revealed to the world the godparents of their children, others have decided to keep the identity private.

Peacock, who previously worked with Queen Elizabeth’s doctor Sir Tim Evans, helped Princess Beatrice feel happy and healthy ahead of the 2020 royal wedding, which was a scaled-down affair amid the recent times.

“She was absolutely gorgeous, and I’m so happy for her and for Edo,” Peacock told PEOPLE. “They are the perfect couple and they are very much in love. I’m delighted for her.”

The nutritionist added: “She is one of my closest friends and of course I like the fact that as a nutritionist I can help my friends and clients.”

While Princess Beatrice has kept her daughter out of the spotlight, Sienna was recently featured on her aunt Princess Eugenie’s Instagram page. To celebrate Earth Day, Eugenie posted an adorable photo of her son, August, with his cousin Sienna during an exhibition at the zoo with penguins.

Sienna will soon have another cousin to play with: Princess Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank, are expecting their second child.
